Scholarships for Nursing Students

If you're a student studying nursing, or know one who is, we have a list of opportunities that may peak your interest. The five scholarships below are specifically for nursing students, and each one offers a winning prize that can help pay for college costs. Scrubin Uniforms/AACN Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of no more than 500 words describing your interest in serving in a faculty role after graduation
Eligibility: Must be a current nursing student in an undergraduate or graduate program at an AACN member school with a formal affiliation agreement with Scrubin Uniforms and at least a 3.5 GPA.
Amount: $2,500

The Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship

How to Apply: Submit a personal statement on why you are interested in Hispanic health issues and your career goals, along with a curriculum vitae and letter of recommendation
Eligibility: Open to full-time students with at last a 3.0 GPA in a healthcare-related graduate program, including Nursing. Applicants are not required to be Hispanic, however, an affinity for the health of Hispanic communities and an interest in participating in NHHF Scholars Alumni activities is required.
Amount: Between $2,000 and $5,000

Coursey Enterprises Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of 200 words or less explaining why you want to become a nurse
Eligibility: Open to first-year nursing students
Amount: $250

Elizabeth Garde National Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application including at least two letters of recommendation
Eligibility: Must be a post-high school student or graduate student seeking a degree in nursing or other medical profession with at least a 3.0 GPA and be a Danish Sisterhood member or the child of a Danish Sisterhood member in good standing for a minimum of one year prior to the application deadline
Amount: $850

Mary Cafolla Wallace Nursing Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application, including a resume and letter of recommendation, and respond to four short-answer questions about your experience and your goals in becoming a nurse
Eligibility: Open to Massachusetts residents between ages 24 and 55 who already have an associate or bachelor's degree planning to pursue a second career in nursing and obtain either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Amount: Between $5,000 and $10,000
